Murielle (Perron) Carrier
JACKMAN – Murielle (Perron) Carrier, 82, of Jackman, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. She was born in Saint-Honore de Shenley, Quebec, Canada, on March 7, 1942, the daughter of Leopold Perron and Juliette Fortier. On June 24, 1968, she married Jacquelin (Jack) Carrier, and they shared 56 wonderful years together.
Family was everything to Murielle, she enjoyed when everyone was together. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought joy to her life! She enjoyed their visits and spoiled them with sugar, hugs, and kisses!
Murielle took pride in working for the Carrier family forestry businesses. Throughout her years she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, playing golf, going to Florida in the winter months, painting on canvas, having coffee and socializing. Spending time with her family and friends was her pride and joy. There are many Canadian traditions that she looked forward to every year, corn boils, going to la cabane a sucre (Sugar Shack) and having tire sur la neige (maple taffy on the snow), family get togethers for various holidays, just to name a few. She always had Sucre a la Crème (maple fudge) in her freezer for family and friends to enjoy while visiting.
Murielle was predeceased by her parents, her brother Claude Perron and her sister Francine Perron.
Murielle is survived by her husband Jacquelin Carrier of Jackman, her three sons; Larry R. Carrier and his wife Sherry Carrier of Jackman, Jeannot Carrier and his partner Denise Conrad of Jackman, and Denis Carrier and his wife Melissa Carrier of Skowhegan, her ten grandchildren; Chantal Callahan, Emily Hastings, Andrew Carrier, Anthony Carrier, Anna Snell, Abbigail Carrier, Amy Murray, Ava Carrier, Kaitlyn Carrier, and Colby Carrier and her fourteen great grandchildren.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of the Jackman Community Health Center, Jackman Paramedics, Jackman Ambulance Services, Redington-Fairview Hospital, Cedar Ridge Center, and the various caregivers she has had. A special thank you goes out to Maria Rodrigues and Beverly Hughey for the compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Murielle during her time of need. Their kindness and support made a profound difference.
