Patricia Delia (Roderick) Rancourt
HALLOWELL – It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Patricia Rancourt, 94, passed away peacefully on Jan. 12, 2025, at Granite Hill Estates in Hallowell.
Pat was born in Waterville on Aug. 28, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Beatrice Leonard Roderick. She was educated in the Waterville Schools. She was married to the love of her life, Richard Rancourt on May 29, 1947, spending the next 72 years together before his death on Oct. 9, 2019.
Pat spent countless hours fishing Moosehead Lake, Wilson Pond and flying into ponds in the Allagash with Richard. In the winter, they rode their snowmobiles over hundreds of miles of trails, enjoying the company of good friends and family.
Pat took flying lessons and played some golf but loved fishing and spending time with Richard.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Barbara Radziewicz and husband Richard of Winslow; grandson, Richard Oliver and wife Tracey of New Jersey, granddaughter, Rebecca Veinote of Florida; great-grandchildren, Amanda Burbee of North Carolina, Justin Burbee of Glenburn, and Matthew and Brian Oliver of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her husband, Richard; parents Edward and Beatrice Roderick; sister, Barbara Roderick Rancourt, brothers Clayton, Donald, Earl and Perley.
There will be no visitation hours. A gathering of friends and family will be planned and announced in the spring. At that time, there will be a mass of Christian Burial at St John’s Catholic Church, Winslow, and a committal service will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
A special thank you to the staff at Granite Hill Estates in Hallowell. They made the last year of Pat’s life safe, supportive with quality and compassionate care.
Arrangements are under the care of Aable Cremation Service, Waterville.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations in Patricia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of their choice.
