O’Brien R. Plaisted
MOUNT VERNON – O’Brien R. Plaisted, 31, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025. He was born in Waterville, ME on July 30, 1993, a son of Brian O. and Bobbie J. (Davis) Plaisted. O’Brien was a graduate of Maranacook High School and Kennebec Valley Community College.
He had been employed by Lepage Bakery’s for several years. He then pursued a career change and graduated from Maine General as a Medical Assistant.
O’Brien touched many hearts through his journey in life. He had a smile that could easily brighten your day. His heart was pure gold and always put others first. He was the person you could sit down with and tell anything to, and he would listen. He always had nothing but love to give, it didn’t matter who you were. He was truly God’s perfect creation.
He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Delbert and Marie Plaisted and in-law grandparents Sherrill Smiley and Bradford Buker.
O’Brien is survived by his husband of six years, Zackary M. (Farr) Plaisted of Mt. Vernon; his parents, Brian O. and Bobbie J. (Davis) Plaisted of Belgrade; his sister, Eliza E. Plaisted and husband Ricky D. (Trask) Plaisted and godson Aiden D. Plaisted of Gardiner; his grandparents Roger and Lois (Clement) Davis of Rome; his godmother Barbara (Davis) Stevens and godfather David Plaisted; his in-laws John and Johnna McCollor, Keith Farr, Hunter Farr, Deanna Cyr and husband Zac; two nephews, a niece and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 9 – 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Private burial will be in the spring.
