Dana L. Beane
ANSON – Dana L. Beane, 65, departed this life on Dec. 17, 2024, at his home in North Anson. Though he passed peacefully, napping in his chair, surrounded by his beloved pets, this sudden loss has been a great shock to his family and friends.
Dana was born April 24, 1959, the youngest child to Donald and Eleanor Beane.
He was a greatly loved educator known as “Mr. Beane” with all the animals, books, magical plays and infinitely majestic gardens. Dana taught in the MSAD #54 District for 28 years before he retired. During that time, his wisdom and care touched many lives, making a lifelong impression on his students who would continue to reach out to him years later.
Dana has gone to join his beloved big sister and best friend Donna Williams and his father Donald Beane who are greatly missed.
“Dear Papa Dad loved his naps. We couldn’t ask for a more peaceful exit for him, though we were not at all prepared to say goodbye.”
Dana was a passionate gardener. You’d know his home anywhere because it would be crawling with glorious green life. He was a passionate animal lover; no creature was too small or too big for him to love with all his heart. And Dana was a most spiritual individual with infinite faith that all works out as it should. His spirit is free to fly to every place his heart ever dreamed of seeing. He is simply on his next grand adventure. Our love flies with him always.
Like the song said, “I did it my way”, and so he did his life with zest.
Dana leaves behind his mother, Eleanor; his older brother, Walter; his four children, Zakariah Aaron, Abrahamm Alexandah, Ahnna-Balai Arielle and Angelisa Aurora-Dawne; as well as his cherished granddaughters. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, friends, family and colleagues.
His family would like to thank all his dearest friends who have reached out at this very difficult time. He so cherished each one of you and would love knowing that so many are looking out after his treasured family.
A celebration of his life will take place in the spring to lay his ashes to rest. Date and time will be posted.
