FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College is hosting the KVCC Career and Transfer Fair, an opportunity for students, alumni, and local job seekers to explore career and educational pathways.
This free, public event is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the KVCC Fairfield Campus in Carter Hall’s Kennebec Room.
With more than 30 local businesses and 10 colleges and universities in attendance, participants will have access to a diverse range of career and transfer opportunities, according to a news release from Elizabeth Belle Isle with the college.
“This event will be hands-on and interactive, allowing participants to develop and showcase their skills,” said Kim Cole, workforce development coordinator at KVCC and event organizer.
Attendees can engage in career readiness activities, interview skill-building, financial wellness support and networking opportunities. Representatives from various trades, businesses and healthcare industries will be available to provide insight and guidance.
Whether one is entering or re-entering the workforce, considering a career change, or looking to continue an education, this event is designed to support their next steps. Students can connect with representatives from Maine’s University system, private colleges, and KVCC, as well as Maine CareerCenters, which offer free employment and training services to Maine workers and businesses.
