WINTHROP – Dan Luszczki, resident of Winthrop, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025. He was born on Nov. 13, 1964, and raised in Winthrop, graduating in the Class of 1983 from Winthrop High School.
Dan dedicated 40 years of his life to a successful career at Shaw’s, where he formed lasting friendships and was a respected colleague with a strong work ethic.
He was a loving father to his son, Dana Luszczki. He shared many cherished years with his longtime partner, Patricia O’Brien. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Robin Luszczki. He was the son of the late Thelma A. Luszczki and Lucien Luszczki Sr., and brother to: Lucien Luszczki Jr., and his wife, Sandra; Cindy Luszczki Richardson, and her husband, Gilbert; Edward Luszczki, and his wife, Linda; Carl Luszczki, and his wife, Marcia; and Andrew Luszczki.
Although quiet, Dan had a kind heart, a wicked sense of humor, and was a dedicated friend. Animals were always attracted to Dan, a testament to his gentle nature. He enjoyed woodworking and completing other projects with Pat around their home, cherishing a shared laugh about their days alongside the quieter moments together after a long shift at work.
He will be deeply missed by friends and family. A private service will be held at a later date.
