NORTH ANSON – Paul Robert Caplin was born on May 14, 1978, in Skowhegan, and passed away on March 1, 2025.

Paul was a great man who fought hard through many years of worsening health because he wanted to be there for his children.

He was a man of many talents, a jack of all trades who could figure out how to fix things when no one else could. He worked in construction and roofing. He loved many and was loved by many. He was as wild as they come but had the strength to be kind and loving. Paul loved to laugh and make others laugh.

His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, being in nature, and spending time with his many friends.

He is survived by his mother, Geraldine (Downs) Jenks, and her husband Joseph Jenks; brother, Chad Caplin; the love of his life, Cora Lumbert; son, Aidan Caplin, daughter, Teyah Caplin; and many extended family members; siblings; aunts, uncles; nephews, nieces; and cousins.

Paul was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louis and Henry Downs, paternal grandparents, Mary and Lewis Caplin; father, Thomas Caplin; brothers Charles, Todd, and Tony Caplin, and stepbrother, Ricky Jenks.

A graveside service and celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
