Stephen D. Lemelin

LIVERMORE FALLS – Stephen D. Lemelin, 71, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, after a long battle with kidney disease. He was surrounded by his loving family during his last days. He was born in Augusta, on March 25, 1953, to Henry and Irene (Arroyo) Lemelin. Steve was one of nine children.

Steve attended local schools and was retired. In the summer, he could be found on the golf course most days. He loved fishing, bow-hunting, shooting a game of pool in his cellar and playing his guitar. He loved manicuring his lawn to perfection, landscaping his property and growing the most beautiful flowers. He loved to make people laugh and always remembered to make your birthday special. He dearly loved spending time with his family and hanging out with his very best pal, his cat Lucky.

Steve was predeceased by both parents, brothers: Danny, Jay and Jimmy; sister Lucy Jones; nephews: Tony Lemelin and Robert Studley, Jr.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Diana of 32 years; his two daughters: Angela and husband Chris Thomas of Burnham and Sheena Lemelin of Augusta; son Brian Severance of Manchester; stepdaughter, Jessica Mescher of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Cecile Studley and husband Robert of Sidney, sister Cheyenne Joslyn and husband Don of Sidney, brother Henry (Cisco) of Augusta, brother Randy and wife Debbie of Sidney, sisters-in-law: Eileen of Florida, Jackie of Connecticut, and Lisa York-Lemelin of Belgrade; grandchildren: Kamdyn, Logen, Ian and stepgrandchildren: Joey and Alyssa, as well as many, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Burial will be held at a later date.
