WINDSOR – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved son and brother, Donald Robert Wilson, Jr (DJ), 42, of Windsor on March 16, 2025 from a heart attack.
DJ was born in Augusta on Nov. 16, 1982. He was the son of Donald and Mary Wilson, also of Windsor.
DJ was homeschooled and became a jack of all trades as he grew up. He began working at Augusta Upholstery when he was 16 and worked there for over 20 years. His boss, Bob Gove, was a special friend and mentor. He most recently worked with his nephew in the carpentry business.
Throughout his life, DJ learned new skills easily. He enjoyed autobody work and had his own sandblaster, portable sawmill and skidder. He loved raising chickens and kept many friends and family members stocked with eggs.
In addition to his father, DJ leaves behind his sisters, Anita Smith (Troy), Karen Wing (Allen) and Laurie Wilson. He also leaves behind his nieces, Amber, Bethany and Ashley, his nephews Justin and Bradley, and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother.
A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church 237 Eastern Avenue, Augusta, April 5 at 11 a.m.
