Arlene E. Fitzgerald Cox
MELBOURNE, Fla. –
Arlene E. Fitzgerald Cox, 92, passed away in Melbourne, Fla., on March 12, 2025. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel Esancy Fitzgerald of South China, both deceased.
She graduated from Erskine Academy in South China in 1950. On April 19, 1957, she married Kenneth R. Cox from Middletown, N.Y. and they enjoyed 54 wonderful years together and settled in Melbourne, Fla.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Fitzgerald of South China; three of her five children, Steven Cox of Sanford, Wayne Cox of Oxford, and Darlene Taylor and husband, Jerry of Melbourne, Fla. Her sons Leslie H. Cox of Melbourne, Fla., and Kenneth Cox Jr. of Pine Bush, N.Y. sadly predeceased her. She has many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Leslie Cox and Felicia Smith-Cox resided with and helped her for over two years.
Arlene requested that there be no funeral service.
