Travis “Trav” Scott Arbour
FAIRFIELD – The angels smiled on Oct. 15, 1992, as Travis “Trav” Scott Arbour, the loving and free-spirited son of Dianne and Albert Arbour, made the world a brighter place with his grand entrance. On Jan. 30, 2023, after 30 short but beautiful years, the angels smiled once more when they took our little brother home. Trav was truly one of a kind. His smile could light up the sky, just as it lit up the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Trav spent most of his childhood in Windsor, where he learned to be a true-blue country boy by day and a teller of tall tales by night. He later moved to Chelsea, where he discovered his passion for bloodworm digging and mechanics. He spent most of his teenage years dragging a wrench behind him at White’s Auto and bombing around in old beaters, whether at the junkyard or in the Demolition Derby at the Windsor Fair.
No one could tell a story quite like he could. The moment he began to speak, you were captivated, whether it was due to the sheer excitement in his voice or the nature of whatever wild adventure he was talking about with his smartass smirk and overly exaggerated impressions of revving engines. He knew full well that you would likely remind him of the dangers associated with his escapades at some point before he finished. He loved getting a rise out of people. He loved fishing and had a profound passion for hunting. He loved a lot of things, but more fiercely than anything else, he loved his family.
Travis is survived by his children, Emma and Ryan Arbour; as well as his siblings, Autumn Arbour, Jessica Arbour, Jesse Arbour, Kay Jackson, Danny Jackson, Carl Jackson and Joanne MacArthur. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dianne and Albert Arbour; his grandparents, Alfred Arbour, Iris Fish, and Ruby Jackson; a nephew, Baby Jessie Alexander, and a niece, Baby Ember Goewey.
