Ronald Rosario started a four-run second inning, then hit a three-run homer in the third inning as the Portland Sea Dogs erupted for a 14-3 win Thursday night against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Hadlock Field.
Rosario finished with four RBI, while Corey Rosier drove in three runs, giving him nine RBI in Portland’s first six games. Everyone in the lineup except leadoff batter Mikey Romero had at least one hit.
Sea Dogs starter Tyler Uberstine was one out shy of qualifying for a win, allowing five hits and three runs in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked three. Gabriel Jackson, Christopher Troye and Yovanny Cruz combined for 4 1/3 innings of one-hit relief, as Portland improved to 5-1.
