AUGUSTA — The Cony softball team exploded for 11 runs in the second inning Wednesday en route to a 15-1 10-run rule victory over Oceanside.

Khloe Price had three hits for Cony (3-1), which had 20 hits as a team. Suri Ramkissoon struck out five to earn the win.

Kloey Deabler had a hit and an RBI for Oceanside (0-3).

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 11, OAK HILL 8: Down 8-6, the Falcons came through with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Raiders in Rumford.

Kyanah Wing doubled twice and drove in three runs for the Falcons (3-1). Maddy Brown and Kenzie Gammon each had two RBI.

Izzy Whitaker went 2 for 3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored for Oak Hill (1-2). Delia Custer drove in two runs.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 16, MORSE 3 (5 INNINGS): Kylie Bellows had two hits, including a double, and drove in four runs to lead the Eagles in Bath.

Ryleigh French also had two hits, including a triple, for Erskine (2-2).

Emma Wallace had two hits for Morse (0-4).

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 15, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 0 (4 INNINGS): Shannah Parsons struck out eight, Rileigh Chase had three hits and four RBIs, and the Mustangs mercy-ruled the Rambling Bears in Monmouth.

Lily Palleschi and Lauren Burnham also had three hits for Monmouth (2-0). Parsons added two singles.

Camden Roy took the loss for Maranacook/Winthrop (1-2).

OXFORD HILLS 10, MESSALONSKEE 0 (6 INNINGS): Vikings ace Kyeria Morse tossed her second no-hitter of the season as the Vikings blanked the Eagles in Oakland.

Morse struck out 15 batters and allowed only one walk while also recording a double and two singles at the plate. Gigi DeVivo tripled and singled for Oxford Hills (3-1), and Karyssa Morse added two singles.

Madison Wilson took the loss for Messalonskee (0-4).

BASEBALL

CONY 13, OCEANSIDE 4: Jordan Benedict struck out six and allowed just one earned run as the Rams took down the Mariners in Rockland.

Benedict also didn’t allow any walks. Matt Boston had two hits and five RBI for Cony (3-1). Parker Morin added two hits and two RBI.

Blade Brann, Levi Philbrook and Dylan Chiaramonte had two hits each for Oceanside (3-1).

BOYS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 12, LEWISTON 1: Landon Stewart, Ryan Parent and Malachi Cusano netted three goals apiece in the Eagles’ (3-1) victory over the Blue Devils (2-1) in Oakland.

Daymion LeBlanc added two goals and Grady Tibbetts had one for Messalonskee.

Collin Michaud scored Lewiston’s only goal, and goalie Brock Rancourt stopped 17 shots.
