Work on a lengthy stretch of Interstate 95 through central Maine is set to begin Sunday, transportation officials said.
The project on the southbound side of the interstate includes paving, guardrail work and drainage improvements between mile markers 134 and 112, the Maine Department of Transportation announced.
That section of I-95 runs south from Benton to Augusta, through Fairfield, Waterville and Sidney.
Drivers should expect the highway to be reduced to a single lane from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day, Maine DOT said. Work begins Sunday and is expected to continue through the fall.
All States Construction of Richmond has an approximately $9.2 million contract for the project, according to Maine DOT.
