Kyle Terrance Armstrong

PITTSTON – Kyle Terrance Armstrong, 27, of Pittston passed away on May 14, 2025, following a boating accident on Cobbosseecontee Lake. Kyle was born on March 3, 1998, in Brunswick, the son of Terrance B. Armstrong and Donna Giandrea Armstrong.

Kyle was a 2016 graduate of Cony High School, where he grew up playing little league baseball, basketball and football. He loved being a Cony Ram where he was a proud member of the 2013 championship football team. After high school, he continued his love of sports by coaching youth football and little league baseball, where he was able to make a lasting impact on those he mentored. Kyle loved all sports, and his favorite team was the New Orleans Saints.

Kyle was employed as a salesman at FW Webb in Oakland where he made many friends and connections.

Kyle was a free spirit and lived life on his own terms. As an avid and experienced fisherman, his love for bass fishing was unmatched. If he wasn’t working, you could usually find him at one of his favorite places to get his boat wet such as The Cobb, Tacoma Lake, China Lake and Wilson Pond. Winter, spring, summer or fall, being on the water is where he found peace and comfort. Fishing was his true passion and where he found therapy and healing after the loss of his beloved mother in 2016. Kyle was a co-founder of The Annual Cobbossee Ice Fishing Derby. In Kyle’s honor, the Derby is being renamed The Kyle Armstrong Memorial Cobbossee Ice Fishing Derby.

Kyle was predeceased by his mother Donna Armstrong, his grandfather Vernon Pinkham, and his adoptive grandfather Richard Rines.

Kyle is survived by his father Terrance and his wife Maria, sister Jessica Mihalik, Aunt Wanda Peddie and her husband William, grandmother Jean Pinkham, grandfather Albert Giandrea, adoptive grandmother Sally Rines, as well as many cousins and extended family.

A Celebration of Kyle’s life will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 1 p.m., at the Pittston Fairgrounds, 995 East Pittston Road, Pittston. Please feel free to bring a fishing lure to be dispersed to youth fisherman in Kyle’s honor.
