The Class A, B and C state championship track and field meets scheduled for Saturday have been postponed because of a forecast of thunderstorms throughout the day.
The Maine Principals’ Association announced in a news release Friday that the three meets will be held Tuesday, with two of those meets in new locations.
The Class A meet has been moved from Brewer Community School to Lewiston High School and will start at 2 p.m.
The Class B championships were slated for Freeport High, but now will be at Mount Desert Island High in Bar Harbor, also at 2 p.m.
The Class C meet remains at Messalonskee High in Oakland and will start at 3 p.m.
