President Trump is taking federal funds away from Mainers who are desperately trying to pay the rent and put food on the table. He’s eliminating funding to organizations like Good Shepherd, which are a stopgap for starving Maine families. He’s already eliminated funding for children starving and dying overseas.

He’s done nothing about the economy. In fact, his tariffs are raising costs across the board. He and his enablers knock President Biden’s spending, while they prepare to spend $100 million on a parade for his birthday. He wants to spend $100 billion on a dome that we would never need had he been intelligent enough to keep us out of harm’s way — the way every president before him had.

He and his family are making billions on private enterprises; the rest of us are told to get used to less. His lies are endless, the world hates us, and now the Supreme Court is helping him attack our First Amendment rights to free speech.

The guy who employed countless numbers of illegals to work in his hotels now calls them criminals! So, what will it take to wake his followers up? Are we really going to let democracy slip away? Or do we stand together and fight back?
