The top four teams in last week’s rankings have been eliminated from the postseason, resulting in a great shakeup in this week’s Varsity Maine baseball poll. In fact, only three of last week’s top 1o will be playing for state championships on Saturday. Those three teams occupy the top three in this week’s rankings.

Biddeford has taken over the top spot after wins over last week’s No. 1 Marshwood and the previously-tied-for-third Thornton Academy. The Tigers were ranked seventh last week.

Mt. Ararat has moved from fifth to second, and Greely from sixth to third. Class B state finalist Ellsworth joins the poll and No. 7, while Class C South champion Monmouth is tied for ninth.

The Varsity Maine baseball poll is based on games played before June 19, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
