HARMONY – Mary V. Cobb passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born in Parkman on Nov. 7, 1933, to George and Violet Wood.

Mary was the youngest of 11 children, and attended schools in Parkman, Cambridge, and Hartland Academy. She married Carl Pease Sr. on April 13, 1950.

She is survived by daughters Judy (Kendrick) Mitchell, Darlene Jalbert, and son, Carl (Kelly) Pease Jr. She is also survived by stepchildren, Amanda Bell, Andy (Darcy) Cobb; grandchildren Chris, Cammie, Catina, Joshua, Jason, Alison, Brittany, Ty, and Scarlett; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by parents George and Violet; husbands Carl Pease Sr. and Charles Cobb; son, Kevin; and grandsons Daniel and Mark.

Mary worked at various shoe plants and finally operated a boarding home for disabled adults, her lifelong goal.

She remarried Charles Cobb on Feb. 12, 1994, and they spent 30 years camping and traveling, spending several winters in Florida. One of her deepest passions was playing card games with friends.

She will be remembered for her nonfiltered responses all her life, she just couldn’t “sugar coat” anything!

She had a great passion for those she loved and gave them her all.

A special thank you to all who took such tender care of her and family, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover Foxcroft.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on July 6 at the Harmony Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Chadbourne Cemetery.
