Our world is a mess and positive change seems lost in the fog. A majority of the influencers and politicians are enriching themselves with no regard for the Earth and the people and creatures who inhabit our small planet. One could easily fill a volume with examples of wanton disregard for the well-being of humans, animals and the Earth. Let’s just look at four current examples.

The wars in Ukraine and Gaza are two. Third, the current president of our country shut down the USAID program. If he had taken all the money “saved” and poured it into helping the poor and hungry in his own country I might have been able to swallow the reasoning. Instead he found more ways to enrich his buddies.

The man who controls Amazon, one of the world’s largest retailers, spent millions on a wedding event. Just suppose he had distributed those millions to all his hourly employees on whose backs he has made his billions. Then take all the millions spent by the “A-listers” who groveled at his feet and use those dollars to feed the poor and hungry in our country.

Our world is a mess controlled by hate, greed and power.

Unless and until we are able to move the world toward caring, sharing and giving, our long-term prospects stink. Sad to say, we are living in the most selfish of times, where everything is transactional and without trust or relationships.
