DeLisle finished her high school career with 247 goals and will next play at the University of Southern Maine.
Lana DiRusso, Freeport senior midfielder: The All-American put up 79 goals and 15 assists this spring. She also grabbed 71 draw controls. Four of her goals came in the unbeaten Falcons’ state final win, which came after her free-position goal in the second overtime in the Class B semifinal helped Freeport survive against three-time defending champion Greely. DiRusso will continue her career at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Alice Ferran, Maranacook junior attack: Ferran netted four goals in the Class C final. Her 51st draw control of the season led to Stella Stewart’s goal with 7.1 seconds left that gave Maranacook/Winthrop its first state championship. Ferran finished the season with 40 goals and 31 assists, and caused 28 turnovers.
Islah Godo, Mt. Ararat senior attack: The KVAC Class B Player of the Year scored 63 goals to go with 65 assists. That included a goal and four assists in the Class B championship game against Freeport. Along with Evelyn Goudreau, she led Mt. Ararat to its first state final appearance since 2010. Godo will play soccer at Plymouth State in New Hampshire.
Evelyn Goudreau, Mt. Ararat senior attack: Goudreau scored 54 goals this season and passed the 200-goal milestone for her career. She scored a team-high five times for the Eagles in the Class B final loss to Freeport. The KVAC all-conference first-teamer will continue her lacrosse career at Plymouth State in New Hampshire.
Maddy Guay, Traip Academy sophomore goalie: In her first season in goal, Guay made a program-record 148 saves for the Class C runner-up. Guay kept the Rangers close in the state final, and the score was tied late in regulation before Maranacook/Winthrop scored with 7.1 seconds left. Guay held opponents to 10 goals or fewer in every game other than a matchup with Class B champion Freeport, and allowed only two goals in games against Fryeburg, Noble and St. Dominic/Oak Hill.
Camdyn Keenan, Kennebunk junior attack: Keenan finished this season with 90 assists, the most of any player on the Varsity Maine All-State team. An All-American selection, she also scored 56 goals and has 119 in her career, to go with 140 assists.
Helen Kennie, Kennebunk junior midfielder: Kennie was chosen as an All-American after scoring 52 goals and assisting on 11 for the Class A runner-up Rams. She netted a team-best four goals in the state final loss to Windham. Kennie is also an Academic All-American.
Neve Ledbetter, Windham junior midfielder: Ledbetter set the pace of games through draws. She had 105 draw controls this season, including several in the Class A final to help the Eagles dominate possession and earn their first state championship by beating Kennebunk. She scored 39 goals and had 43 assists and 76 ground balls this season.
Mia Levesque, Freeport senior midfielder: Levesque set the tone for the unbeaten Falcons through her success on draw controls. She won many in the Class B final, and recorded three goals and an assist to help Freeport defeat Mt. Ararat. She finished the season with 74 goals, 19 assists and 102 draw controls, and earned All-American and all-Western Maine Conference honors. Levesque has committed to play at the University of New Hampshire.
Sophia St. John, Cheverus senior attack: St. John led the Stags with 73 goals and passed 100 for her career. In the regular-season finale against Windham on the state champion Eagles’ home field, St. John scored three times in the first half on 8-meter shots and finished with four goals. She was named to the SMAA all-conference team and will continue her lacrosse career at Assumption University in Massachusetts.

She scored 93 goals this season, including 21 in the postseason and five in the Class A final. She also had 33 assists, 69 draw controls and 43 ground balls. Following her high school graduation next year, she plans to play at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Coach of the Year
Matt Perkins, Windham: Perkins has coached the Eagles since 2014, and this year led them to the program’s first state championship. Windham featured a high-scoring offense led by attackers and midfielders such as Abby Trainor, Neve Ledbetter and Grace Joly. But Perkins also made off-ball plays a focus of his coaching this season, which was exemplified by Brianna Duarte getting six knockdowns in the state title game as the Eagles defeated Class A favorite Kennebunk.
