 
Marilyn Eva Bickford
BELGRADE – Marilyn Eva Bickford, 86, died peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Woodlands Senior Living Center in Waterville following a long period of declining health.
Marilyn was born in Belgrade, on Oct. 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Claribel J. (Knowles) Cummings. She graduated from Belgrade Central High School in the class of 1956.
Marilyn worked as a homemaker, raising her family and making sure everything in the home was taken care of. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for family, working in her gardens, crocheting and spending time reading her bible.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Donald Bickford; a son, Everett Guido Bickford, a daughter, Selena Johnson; a brother, Dwight Cummings, a sister, Elaine Lavertu.
She is survived by two daughters, Naomi and her husband, Erick Dorr of Thomaston and Phoebe Dipietro of Waterville; four stepchildren; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Clark of Winslow; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m., at Pine Grove Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Belgrade.
