A Bangor woman was arrested for allegedly starting an intentional fire outside a home in Cambridge on Monday.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office responded Monday to 288 Ham Hill Road in Cambridge for a domestic disturbance, according to a news release Thursday from Lt. Aaron Turcotte of the Maine Department of Public Safety.
After arriving at the scene, Turcotte said in the release, deputies called the Office of State Fire Marshal just before 7 p.m. for assistance to investigate a fire at the residence.
Through interviews and an examination of the scene, the investigators concluded a fire involving personal property was intentionally set outside the home.
Jaime Johnson, of Bangor, was arrested Monday on charges of domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence assault and violating conditions of release by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. The fire marshal’s office charged Johnson with arson, a Class A crime.
Johnson did not live at the residence.
