I wonder why Republicans seem to want to live in a fascist dictatorship. Why do they want to live in a country run like Putin’s Russia, Orban’s Hungary, Erdoğan’s Turkey, Maduro’s Venezuela, etc. Countries that nominally have elections, but the elections don’t mean anything because it’s all fixed.
What is their fascination with the “strongman” form of government? Do they really want one person deciding what science investigations will be pursued, what level of equality each of us will receive, what our schools and universities will teach and who they will admit, what polluters can put into our air and water, which laws will be observed and which will be ignored, what facts are real and what corruption and by who is allowed? Give me a break.
