Jane M. Wing

AUGUSTA – Jane M. Wing, 96, passed away on Sept. 15, 2025 while surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 13, 1928, a daughter of Asa and Thelma (Twitchell) Morse.

Jane grew up in Augusta and was a graduate of Cony High School in the class of 1946. On Nov. 14, 1947, she married Melvin Wing. For many years, Jane was employed as a bookkeeper.

Above all, Jane will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and “Meme”.

She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Wing; and brothers: Asa Morse and Sidney Morse.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wing and her husband, Barry Phillips; her grandchildren: Laurie Mathisen and her husband Curt, Andrew Wing and his wife Marianne, and Christopher Phillips; and great grandchildren: Alexi Mathisen, Phoenix Wing, and Dylan Mathisen.

Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery is private.
