I was incensed by your Sept. 13 front-page story about a Honduran man, accused of domestic violence, being arrested near a Portland school. The parents, guardians, school board members and mayor should be applauding the arrest of a criminal.
An illegal criminal has no business being close to our schools. The headline should have read “Illegal criminal is apprehended on school grounds.” What people should be in fear of is that we would fail to apprehend illegal criminals. We have it all backward.
