The federal government shut down four weeks ago, leaving thousands of Maine employees in either furloughed or forced to work without pay.
In that time, there has been little movement in Congress to end the shutdown, which now threatens to be the longest in history, eclipsing the 35-day stoppage in 2018-19.
The Portland Press Herald is interested in hearing from federal workers and others in Maine who have gone without pay or are at risk of being laid off.
