LEEDS – James P. Laptewicz, 68, passed away at his home in Leeds, with his loving wife, Kathryn (Stevens) Laptewicz, by his side. He was born and raised in Southborough, Mass., on July 13, 1957, to the late Walter and Josephine (Zarba) Laptewicz.
Jim attended public schools in Southborough, Mass. and graduated from Algonquin High School, in Northborough, Mass., class of 1975. He relocated to Naples, Fla., and immediately began his career at Pizza Hut.

Shortly after, he left the business and transferred to Damariscotta Hannaford where he served as the grocery manager where he learned different vending routes, before venturing on his own. Jim eventually purchased a Pepperidge Farm business in 2005, serving the Central Maine area.
This was the same year he met his wife Kathy, and they married in 2006.
After 14 years of being a business owner, he sold his business and retired to his home on the lake in 2019.
In his free time, Jim deeply enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his eight beautiful grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, playing the drums, long rides on his motorcycle, days spent out on the lake on his boat, scaled motor racing, woodworking and so much more.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, Joshua Seal.
