JP Normand “Norm” LaPlante
LEWISTON – JP Normand “Norm” LaPlante, 89, passed peacefully on Sept. 27, 2025, with his wife by his side. A lifelong Mainer, proud veteran, legislator, community leader, Realtor, entertainer, and – above all – a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Norm lived a BIG life of service, joy, and love.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 64 years, Mary Ann LaPlante.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cote; his daughters Sharon Harrison and Susan LaPlante-Dube; and four grandchildren.
