A goal by Kilee Merrill in the second overtime gave Mt. Blue a 1-0 win over Edward Little in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference field hockey game Wednesday in Farmington.
Ella Meader set up the game-winning goal, which was scored 5:03 into the second OT.
The Cougars (9-2) had a big edge in shots on goal and penalty corners but were frustrated by Edward Little (4-8) goalie Arabella Harris, who finished with 13 saves.
Mt. Blue’s Gwen Lesperance stopped three shots.
GIRLS SOCCER
TEMPLE ACADEMY 3, TELSTAR 2: Madelyn Corey scored twice for the Bereans (7-3) in a win over the Rebels (2-4-1) in Waterville.
Sofia Isgro also netted a goal.
Brooklyn Duprey and Malia Luis each had a goal for Telstar. Sydney Van Buren recorded an assist.
Eliana Frank stopped 10 shots for Temple. Telstar’s Mya Buck made 12 saves.
