
Ronald “Ron” Raymond Stoddard
AUGUSTA – Ronald “Ron” Raymond Stoddard, 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Augusta on Saturday Oct. 4, 2025, at 4:10 p.m. after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease and Cancer.
Ron was born at Gardiner General Hospital 3:22 a.m. on Thursday August 27, 1959. Ronald is one of four sons of Ira Albert Stoddard Sr. and Lily Gerene Grenier.
Ron was raised in Chelsea, Pittston, Gardiner and Augusta graduating from Gardiner High School class of 1978
Ron was a life long janitor that worked waxing and cleaning floors at your local post offices for over 20 years.
Ron would give the shirt off his back, lend a hand or do anything he could for the next person in need, even if he did not know you or even if he just seen the thought you might need it. That is the type of GREAT MAN Ronald was.
Ron was predeceased by his brother, Michael Bertram Stoddard; nephew, Jason Michael Stoddard; dog, Sativa, and cat, Spazz.
Ron is survived by his brothers, Ira Albert Stoddard Jr. and Norman Robert Stoddard; several nieces and nephews, Bethany Pinkham, Maggie Stoddard, Lisa Stoddard, Adam Christopher Stoddard; sister-In-law, Judy Stoddard, long time friend and caregiver, Anthony “Tony” Lee Willette Jr.; beloved dog, Gracie; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The Stoddard family would like to thank his care team of doctors “Dr. Donor”, social works, nurses, hospice, caregiver and everyone who was involved in the care taking and providing comfort for Ronald.
Ron’s Funeral Services will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church 75 Northern Ave. (70 ME-104) Augusta, ME 04330-7508 on Saturday Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.
