As an Augusta taxpayer for 60-plus years, I am most concerned about the cost of property taxes and the condition of streets in Augusta, especially downtown. It used to be safe to walk there, but no longer with the aggressive panhandling, drugs and crime.
As a result, I will be voting for a City Council candidate who is committed to addressing these concerns.
Wyatt Beaulieu is an Augusta homeowner, a Cony graduate, a father and husband who is equally concerned about our city. I hope readers will join me in voting for Wyatt on Nov. 4.
