In reading all of the news articles about Vassalboro’s sewer issues, I failed to find a few details.
Specifically, when did the town vote for it, or who approved it. Also, did a few people or the town vote? Nowhere in the article did I see how they base the sewer costs. Other towns use water use as the guiding factor.
This also appears, from what was written, to affect the less wealthy citizens. What are the town leaders and concerned citizens doing to help those who can’t pay the bills? I did not read about any activities done by the citizens to raise money to pay their neighbors back bills.
The lack of documented town activity demonstrates a “too bad they live there” attitude.
