Janet Mills was elected to her first public office four years before Graham Platner was even born.
Hearing that Gov. Mills, who is five years older than 72-year-old Sen. Collins, has announced a Senate campaign makes me think Democrats have learned absolutely zero lessons from the last 10 years in American politics and have no interest in building a winning coalition of Mainers.
Does Maine really want another career politician to lose to Susan Collins? Let’s thank Gov. Mills for her captaincy, use her voice to champion the next generation of leadership in Maine and elect a younger Democrat who can build a coalition for all of Maine.
