
Ron Harper Jr., who played 14 games with the Maine Celtics last season, signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
Harper, a 6-foot-5 guard/forward, is one of three players on two-way contracts with Boston, joining second-round draft picks Amari Williams and Max Shulga.
Harper, the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, averaged 14.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists with Maine before signing a two-way deal with the Detroit Pistons. He played in one game for Detroit and 23 with the Motor City Cruise in the G League.
In three preseason games with Boston this season, Harper averaged 4.3 points. 0.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 10.6 minutes per game.
