I ask Augusta residents to vote Nov. 4 for Rita Pello as at-large member of the Augusta Board of Education. I serve on the board with Rita and support her for many reasons.
As a former public school teacher, her insight as to what students need but also the needs of the staff are first and foremost. Equity among schools for all programming and access to strong student supports, as well as professional development opportunities for staff, are just a few of the initiatives she has worked on.
She is also a visible and frequent supporter of student programming and attends multiple events across the city.
Please join me in voting for Rita Pello as at-large board member on Nov. 4. She has respect for the city, the people who live and work here, and is ready to continue to make our schools and students succeed.
