York took down the top dog and now is at the top of the Varsity Maine volleyball poll. The Wildcats ended Washington Academy’s 30-match win streak with a 3-1 victory Saturday in the regular season finale. York also ended the Raiders’ five-week run as No. 1 in the poll. The Wildcats will take top seed into the Class B tournament, while Washington, which is ranked third in the poll, and is the second seed.

Scarborough, the top seed in Class A, moves from third in last week’s poll to No. 2. Gorham continued its rebound from a slow start with a 3-2 win over York on Oct. 14 and is now tied for fourth with Cheverus/Waynflete.

Bonny Eagle joins the poll at No. 10.


The Varsity Maine volleyball poll is based on games played before Oct. 21, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
