This isn’t the same Cheverus field hockey team as the past couple years. But this Cheverus field hockey team is in the same place as those of the past couple years: at the top of the heap, aka the Varsity Maine poll. The question now is can the Stags once again finish atop Class A at the end of the impending postseason?

The rest of the top five remains the same as last week: Yarmouth, which was perfect in the regular season, is second, Skowhegan is third, Belfast fourth and Biddeford fifth.

Mt. Ararat have moved from ninth to sixth, while Mt. Blue rejoins the poll at No. 7.

The Varsity Maine field hockey poll is based on games played before Oct. 21, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
