HOBE SOUND, Fla. – Norman R. Michaud, 83, of Hobe Sound, Fla., (formally of Augusta) died at his home with his wife by his side on Thursday Oct. 12, 2025.

He was born Jan. 12, 1942, the son of the late Jasper and Juliette Michaud.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Michaud of 23 years; four sons, Norman Michaud Jr. and wife Lisa, Kevin Michaud and wife Mary, Jack Michaud, and Paul Michaud, two stepchildren, Scott Arnold and wife Brenda, Donna Allen and husband Rick; brother, Larry Michaude and wife Niki, sister, Claudette Bennett and husband Sherwood, three stepbrothers, Raymond Bernier, Leo Bernier and Teddy Bernier; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Norman served in the Army, 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 1959-1961. He gave his life commitment to serving his country in many ways after his service. Norman proudly drove the van for DAV for many years to help veterans get to their appointments. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and also the Amvets. Norman made sure to donate every month to the Tunnel of Towers, St. Judes, ASPCA (animals) and the Shriners.

A springtime burial service will take place at the VA Cemetery in Augusta.
