Lydia Herrick and Mae Dubois each recorded a goal and an assist, leading fifth-seeded Skowhegan to a 3-0 win over 12th-seeded Cony in a Class B North girls soccer prelim Friday in Skowhegan.
Morgan Flannery also scored and Madi Flannery was credited with an assist as the River Hawks (13-1-1) advanced to a quarterfinal at No. 4 Erskine Academy.
Natalie Cooke made three saves for Skowhegan. Ayla St. Onge of Cony (3-8-4) turned aside eight shots.
TEMPLE ACADEMY 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Sofia Isgro paced the seventh-seeded Bereans (9-5) by scoring a hat trick against the 10th-seeded Falcons (2-10-1) in an eight-person South prelim in Waterville.
Karis Louis added a goal and an assist, and Madelyn Corey also found the back of the net. Eliana Frank stopped three shots in the victory.
Kaylynn Washburn scored for Mountain Valley.
