Tidjane Salaun hit a 3-pointer with eight seconds remaining as the Greensboro Swarm fought off a late comeback by the Maine Celtics and earned a 122-120 victory in an NBA G League game Saturday night in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Ron Harper Jr. capped a late 15-0 run with back-to-back 3-pointers that gave Maine a 120-117 lead, but Greensboro scored the final five points to sweep the season-opening series. The Swarm won 131-129 on Friday night.
Harper scored 16 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter. The Celtics trailed 117-105 with less than four minutes remaining before Harper fueled a big run with three 3-pointers.
Rookie center Amari Williams added 25 points on 10-for-12 shooting and also grabbed 10 rebounds. All five Maine starters scored in double figures, and Wendell Moore Jr. contributed 15 points off the bench.
