I believe Graham Platner. I believe that he got that tattoo on a drunken Marine spree 20 years ago, not knowing its Nazi implications. Should this forever brand him as a Nazi sympathizer?

His story of moving from a bad place to a much better place is important for many disaffected, unmoored young adults, particularly young men. I believe his story resonates with them in an important way. We need them to believe in democracy and that they are welcome in the Democratic Party.

It’s time for the old guard, Janet and Susan, to step aside.
