Matty Waters scored twice and Central Maine Community College beat Cincinnati-Clermont 2-0 to win its second straight USCAA Division II men’s soccer national championship Monday in Pittsburgh.
Albie Fozard-Oakes assisted on both goals for the Mustangs, who went 3-0 in the tournament and finished 16-0-3.
CMCC took the the lead 95 seconds into the match when Fozard-Oakes served a corner kick to the back of the box that Waters headed in. They connected again at 52:55 of the second half on a corner kick Waters headed in.
The Mustangs won their fifth straight Yankee Small College Conference title on their way to the national tournament.
