Your recent coverage of the Gardiner-area school board meeting (“Parents’ rights groups, backed by conservative funders, bring fight to Maine school boards,” Nov. 19) was so blatantly biased and misleading.
The people who you are trying to malign — a group of parents who simply want to make sure they have a voice in what’s going on with their child’s education — are not the rabid, ultra-conservative, agenda-driven people that you are trying to portray. They’re just folks who are unhappy about the fact that parental rights are a casualty in the current school setting and they are rightfully just trying to do the best for their kids.
Please try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
