Maine went 1 for 20 from 3-point range and lost to Penn 58-35 in a non-conference women’s basketball game on Thursday in Philadelphia.
It was the lowest point total of the season for Maine, which falls to 0-4 on the road and 3-6 overall.
Adrianna Smith was the only player in double figures for Maine, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Gardiner graduate Lizzy Gruber added nine points and eight rebounds.
Simone Sawyer scored 17 of her 21 points in the first half for Penn (6-3). Katie Collins added eight points and 13 rebounds.
