Rose Holt
SKOWHEGAN – Rose Holt of Skowhegan passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71 on Nov. 29, 2025, from cardiovascular difficulties.
Rose was born on July 11, 1954 in Skowhegan, to Henry and Dolores McGraw.
Rose was a young, devoted and loving mother to her two children, Lee Hutchinson and Hollee LaFemina. She worked hard to provide a warm and nurturing environment for her family. She taught her children to put kindness and compassion above any material things. She loved her son and daughter with her whole heart.
Rose was a natural caretaker and loving niece who cared for her two aunts, Doris , and Jeanette. She helped them live a fulfilling, active, and spiritual life in their later years. In addition, she was very close to her Aunt Rita, whom she considered a close friend. She would frequently visit her and bring her on family outings.
She was a supportive aunt to Tiffany Leo and Heidi McGraw. She loved them as her own children and always looked out for them. Anytime the three of them were together there would be laughter and fun.
Above all things, Rose loved being a Nana to her five grandchildren, Kirstie Jansen (LaFemina), Kenikki Hutchinson, Dallas Hutchinson, Trey Hutchinson and Demarcus Hutchinson. She would talk about her grandchildren with such pride and even had their names tattooed on her upper arm as a symbol of her love for them. In the early 1990’s Rose moved to Florida to take on an active role to help raise Kirstie. She was a daycare/preschool teacher where Kirstie attended and loved helping kids. Later in life, she also helped raise her youngest grandson, Demarcus Hutchinson, after his mother’s passing. They were two peas in a pod, staying very close to each other over the years and even making sure to FaceTime daily to catch up on life.
It gives Rose’s family a sense of peace and joy knowing that she is reunited, in Heaven, with her soulmate, Lincoln Prescott. They had a unique and beautiful relationship filled with laughter, camping, pets, and endless adventures. He was such an important person in her life story. They shared a deep connection everyone admired.
She is always reunited with her mom, baby brother James, grandparents and her aunts.
Rose leaves behind her daughter Hollee and Buddy LaFemina of Colorado, her son Lee and Maria Hutchinson of Florida, brother Dennis, sister Juliette Drown, brother David (Louise) McGraw, sister Diane ( Charlie) Gillet, Bobby Rhonda)McGraw, brother Joe McGraw and sister Mary McGraw.
Rose also left behind five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, as well as her best friend, Brenda Dyer and her good friend Maria Prescott.
Rose will always be remembered for her big heart, sense of humor, strength, kindness, and compassion.
A funeral mass will be held May 16, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Notre Dame Delordes Church in Skowhegan.
