The game officially counts as a tie, though Maine (12-7-2) won a shootout after a scoreless overtime.
William Gerrior and Charlie Russell also scored for the 15th-ranked Black Bears, who won 5-2 on Friday night.
Sixth-ranked Denver (12-7-2) twice erased one-goal deficits before taking its first lead of the weekend on a goal by Eric Pohlkamp early in the third period.
Black Bears goalie Albin Boija made 24 saves through regulation and overtime and stopped 2 of 3 Denver attempts in the shootout. Miguel Marques and Justin Poirier scored shootout goals for Maine.
