“Collins breaks with Trump over Venezuela,” booms the bold-faced headline as if we should be surprised by this news. Isn’t this an election year and haven’t we seen this senator, time and time again, do all she can, when the time is right, to reclaim her “moderate” moniker? Isn’t it time we look at the evidence and question that claim?
Sen. Collins has been a Trump enabler for years. She still is, as she herself admits later in the same article, that she supported Mr. Trump’s military operation and capture of this (to use the president’s words) “narco-terrorist.”
Isn’t it time we believe what we see, not what she says, and vote for someone else?
