One man is dead and another injured after an “altercation” Tuesday night in Standish, according to Maine State Police.
Police were called to a home on Kennie Drive just before 9:30 p.m. and found one man dead and another hurt. The injured man was taken to a hospital with injuries that aren’t believed to be life-threatening, according to a Wednesday news release from state police.
The deceased man’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of his death.
Police have not released the identities of either man or revealed anything about the circumstances behind the altercation.
“There is no danger to the public at this time,” said Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for state police. “The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released when it becomes appropriate to do so.”
