Exhibition basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters are on their 100 Year Tour. The games are celebrating a century of astonishing skills, including dunks you have to see to believe. If you love hijinks paired with jaw-dropping basketball, don’t miss the Harlem Globetrotters playing the Washington Generals.

Heated Rivalry Dance Night

9 p.m. Friday. State Theatre, 609 Congress St., Portland, $32 in advance, $37 at the door, 21-plus. statetheatreportland.com.

Event planners Club 90s present a dance party that pays homage to the breakout Canadian TV series “Heated Rivalry.” The hockey romance stars Hudson Williams as American player Shane Hollander and Connor Storrie as Russian Ilya Rozanov. The Portland party will include DJs spinning tunes from the show, as well as pop throwbacks, queer anthems and a whole bunch of other music to keep you dancing. Montage clips from the show will be projected on a giant screen. The evening also features a photo booth and giveaways. Lace up your boogie shoes and leave the ice skates at home for this red hot night out.

Winter Carnival

Bundle up and enjoy Winter Carnival at scenic Gilsland Farm. It’s a celebration of winter wildlife and outdoor exploration. The family-friendly event includes the Great Backyard Bird Count, learning about animal tracking, snow science and art, owl-themed activities, hot cocoa, face painting and more.

‘Sleepless in Seattle’

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to see a classic romantic comedy. Nora Ephron’s 1993 gem “Sleepless in Seattle” stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, along with a supporting cast that includes Bill Pullman, Rob Reiner, Rosie O’Donnell, Gaby Hoffman and Rita Wilson. The story centers on what happens when Baltimore journalist Annie Reed (Ryan) hears Seattle architect and widow Sam Baldwin (Hanks) on a call-in radio show. The charming soundtrack includes Harry Connick Jr., Jimmy Durante, Louis Armstrong and Celine Dion.

Fearless: The Taylor Swift Experience

If you’re a Swiftie in need of a live music infusion, grab a ticket and spend Valentine’s Day night hearing an epic tribute act. Fearless: The Taylor Swift Experience is fronted by Jennifer Westrip. You’ll hear an avalanche of hits including “Blank Space,” “Love Story,” “Look What You Made Me Do” and “You Belong With Me.” Shake off those winter blues with a night of Swift tunes performed by a fabulous singer and her band.

Light up your Saturday night with some live Motown and Memphis soul from Hallowell-based Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations. The R&B revue features back-up singers and a horn section. You’ll be on your feet with tunes from Sam and Dave, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin and Etta James.
